Varsity soccer loses a close one against Arbor View 2-1
On Thursday, Faith lost to Arbor View 2-1 in a tightly contested match that went overtime. The game was tied through the first half, where Faith had several good opportunities to score, most notably an empty net opportunity from the midfield that the Crusaders were not able to get off. However, at the start of the second half, with 26:34 left in regulation, Carson Browdy scored a header off of a corner, making the game 1-0 for the Crusaders. The Aggies responded with about ten minutes left in the match off of a penalty kick that came from a controversial handball call, and the game entered overtime. With 2:45 left in the first overtime, Arbor View scored, ending the game. Faith finishes the season with a overall record of 10-9-3, despite losing two starters on the team early on.
