Raising the GPA
“Our mission is for everyone to use their different academic gifts and exceed to the level at which they can.” Dr. Steve Buuck, CEO.
The focus on academics is very important to the faculty and administration here at Faith Lutheran. It is expected for every student to do their very best. The new classes and programs such as STEM, Justice & Advocacy, and Business give students even more of an opportunity to obtain higher grades and leads our school focus academic achievement.
Over the years, Faith Lutheran has raised the academic standards of the school with things, such as grade point increases for the AP and Honors courses. “We added the grade bump for honors and AP classes in order for students to be able to get a higher GPA.” Said Mr. Scott Fogo, High School Principal. The grade bump attracts students to the harder classes and gives even more of a desire to excel academically.
“Our goals for this year are for students to excel in both of their classes at school, but also the big tests like the ITBS, SAT, ACT.” Said Dr. Buuck. With all of these expectations of academic achievement in place, our students are prepared to attend the top colleges in the nation.
