Basketball successfully opens the regular season
The Faith Lutheran varsity boys, varsity girls, JV boys, JV girls, and freshman boys basketball teams swept the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions and took home the victory in their first out of conference game of the regular season. Varsity boys, led by Coach Bret Walter, played a great game against the Mountain Lions. Nic Maccioni, senior forward, shined Tuesday night, both offensively and defensively, obtaining 28 points and 20 rebounds. Junior forward, Elijah Kothe, had an exceptional night at the free throw line, especially at the end of the game. Connor Nichols and Jaylen Fox, both junior guards, kept the team alive with multiple assists. The Crusaders triumphed against the Mountain Lions and strive to stay as successful throughout the season.
