Faith’s varsity football team kicks off playoffs with victory
On November 10, 2016, Faith Lutheran High School defeated Bonanza High School 43-6 in the Sunset Region quarterfinals of playoffs. The game was held at Faith Lutheran High School, and was live streamed by MyLVTV as part of their Thursday Night Light’s sports coverage, sponsored by Terrible Herbst. Faith students, faculty, and parents packed the stands and cheered for the team, and paid special attention to running back Christian Marshall, who carried eighteen times for 203 yards and tallied four touchdowns by the end of the night.
By maintaining an impressive lead throughout the game, the Crusaders left the field with a victory, yet knew of the challenge ahead: playing against No. 1 Bishop Gorman High School. Bishop Gorman (12-0) and Faith Lutheran (6-4) will go head to head in the semifinals on November 18, 2016 at Bishop Gorman High School.
