Crusaders on the prowl against Panthers
Friday, September 30, the Crusader football team took on the Palo Verde Panthers at 7 p.m. at Palo’s field. The Crusaders took their first 4A victory with a tight score of 26-21 against the Panthers. Sagan Grounauer (’19) led the team to victory with a strong arm and good offensive partner; Elijah Kothe (’18) who’s TD catches scored 18 points for the Crusaders. Coach Marty said, “I am mostly happy for the coaches and the players, but just in general I think for the school and for all the perceptions around the community it was a bigger win than our guys even know so I am proud of them and it is now time to move on to Legacy.”
With a confident win against the Panthers the Crusaders will be back on their home field at 7 p.m. on October 7. They play the Legacy Longhorns.
