Life is Beautiful, is it worth the money?

As festival season is coming to an end in other states, it is just getting started in Las Vegas. Life Is Beautiful Music Festival, is one of the most exciting times of the year for Las Vegas locals. This event takes place in Downtown Las Vegas, right along Fremont Street. Since it is such a huge event and on the strip, this means that parking is limited and expensive. Because of this, I highly suggest getting a ride or taking an alternative route of transportation to the event. This will also save you money and time, with the traffic of getting in and out of Downtown Las Vegas.

Having attended this festival for the past two years, I know a thing or two about it. There are many things to see, do, and eat while here. The art is spectacular, and there are paintings everywhere from famous artists all over the world. The best thing about the art, is that every year it expands. Since the artists get the opportunity show off their skills on the walls of Downtown Las Vegas, means that their work never gets taken down. In that case, every year new artwork is added along  the streets of Downtown for everyone else to see throughout the year.

Other famous artists also attend this festival. No not painters, but singers and bands. Some of the most famous artists that have performed on the stages include; Kanye West, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, Outkast, The Killers, and many more. Although there are many famous performers at the event, underdog artists are also invited. This gives them a chance to become better known and give them a feel for what it feels like to perform at such a huge event. Even though there are many stages, a stage with a well known performer can become very crowded and hectic. Some even wait hours just to be in the front of the crowd for a specific artist. People can be rude, and will not let you past them for any reason, even if you pull the classic excuse, “my mom’s up there”.

The food is to die for. All the best restaurants in Las Vegas are here to give out samples and sell meals to anyone who can afford it. I say this because the prices are jacked up a ton. Be careful what you buy because your money will be gone fast, they love to take advantage of people who aren’t paying attention to the prices. Although the prices are high, you have to try the food at least once. If it were up to me, food would be free with VIP passes since you are paying $700 for the ticket alone.

I would not suggest getting VIP unless you are 21, then I believe it would be worth it. If you are under 21, all you can get in the VIP section is, very nice bathrooms (which I thinks worth $700, to be honest) and free lemonade and water. Other than these things, you are better off buying regular admission for $280.

In the grand scheme of things, Life Is Beautiful is definitely worth the money for a three-day pass. You get to see art, famous performers you probably wouldn’t see otherwise, and meet new people who are there to enjoy the same thing as you!
