Faith starts off season 1-1 with big win in Hawaii
With all of the hype for the movement up to Division I athletics, all Faith Lutheran Crusaders were ecstatic to send the football team off to Hawaii to take on the Kaimuki Bulldogs. After a delay of game due to stormy weather on the island of Oahu, the Crusaders went into Aloha Stadium determined to win big.
“The team has put in so much work over the summer. I can’t wait to see all of the work in action,” said senior and team kicker, Brandon Hann.
The work and determination paid off, as the Crusaders took home the win with a score of 49-16 against the Bulldogs. Thanks to Saundre Spiller’s two rushing touchdowns, Sagan Gronauer’s two passing touchdowns, and Alec Netski’s interception return for a touchdown, the Crusaders had an impressive lead throughout the game.
“I look forward to winning, and we’ll have a successful season by continuing to work hard and focus this season,” said Hann.
Now with a win under their belt, the Faith Lutheran Crusaders can build on their confidence heading into their next game against Silverado High School on September 26.
