The Seniors Final Homecoming
One of the most anticipated moments in a young person’s life is when the time comes to graduate high school. And for the Class of 2016, the days are numbered.
“I’m excited to go off to college but just the fact that it’s my last year at Faith, and this is my last dance, it’s bittersweet,” said senior cheerleader Hannah Riley.
This week will mark the last time the current senior class will go through all the homecoming festivities, and for many, it’s bittersweet, “A part of me is excited to be going off to college and starting my life, but another part of me is sad because of a great school and memories I’m leaving behind,” said senior Chase Johnston.
For others, the nostalgia hasn’t quite set in, “I am still a little surprised that this is my last homecoming, I think once we step on the court at the assembly today and do our final class chant, then I’ll realize the end is near,” senior Blake Bell.
Opportunity and success awaits the class of 2016, but for now, they are just high schoolers enjoying their last few moments together.
