What’s Not to Love About Valentine’s Day?
Mark your calendar for February 14th because love is going to be everywhere this Valentine’s Day. Have you decided what you’re going to get you’re loved one? Maybe a dozen roses? Or a box of fancy chocolates? “I plan to just get her roses and chocolates because I don’t have the money to get her something nicer,” said senior Sean Kay.
Since Christmas shopping is over and less crowds are at the stores, Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to go back to the mall if you are a shopping enthusiast. “I do have an idea to pick up something for someone,” said Gage Badger, a sophomore here at Faith. You can probably easily pick up something sweet and a dozen roses to bring to you’re sweet heart this Valentine’s Day. Jordan Harmonay, senior, says she “will be spending Valentine’s Day with the fabulous Sean Kay,” what a cute couple, don’t you think?
For Valentine’s many people have a hard time just deciding what to do. “I am taking Jordan out on a date. Probably dinner and a movie.” You could go out on a dinner date, go to the movies, or just stay home together and relax.
Here around Faith students and couples tell us what they plan on doing on Valentine’s Day. “For Valentine’s Day I plan on going to New York and also plan on spending Valentine’s Day with a group of friends as we explore New York,” said Badger.
Molly Shaw gives us her details for Valentine’s Day. “During Valentine’s day, I will be in Anaheim, California for a dance competition”, said Shaw. Molly and her boyfriend Matthew D’Arrigo, both sophomores, have been together for the past two years. Unfortunately they will not be able to spend this Valentine’s together. “During Valentine’s Day, I will be in New York,” said D’Arrigo. But as every good couple, Matt will be getting his girlfriend a surprise gift. “Yes, I am getting a gift for Molly, I can’t tell you what it is because that would ruin the secret,” said D’Arrigo.
Molly isn’t just spending this special day with one person but with her dance crew. “I will be spending valentine’s day with the dance team, romantic I know!” Most people don’t want to be that one person on Valentine’s Day who cries while watching a love movie and eating a shape heart box of chocolates.
A good classic romantic comedy, “About Last Night” with comedian Kevin Hart and the beautiful actress Regina Hall is going to be a hit this Valentine’s Day.
