New Year, New Ideas
Ah, the new year; a time for new beginnings, new traditions, and a new start for most people. The new year is often associated with New Years Resolutions, or something that people try and change from the previous year. Students and teachers of Faith Lutheran shared their experiences and views on New Years Resolutions.
One of the most notorious resolutions involves people improving their health or way of life. For example, sophomore Caroline Fortino shared that her New Years Resolution was “to eat healthier because it is good for your body.” Mrs. Wheat shared, “I always think it is a good idea to look at my life and evaluate what I want to do better.”
Even though New Years Resolutions are a seemingly promising idea, according to Forbes Online, nearly 92% of New Years Resolutions made by people do not last. Even though most people try to stick to their resolution, “some people end up forgetting their New Years Resolutions and others just don’t follow through,” says junior, Parker Harris.
Whether your resolution is to exercise more, avoid drinking soda, or you do not have one at all, New Years Resolutions are a difficult topic with many different views. It seems that the famous trend of having New Years Resolutions has varying opinions from person to person!
