Driving Into Entertainment
This past Halloweekend at the West Wind Drive-in Movie Theater there were a plethora of movies to go see ranging from scary Halloween movies like Halloween Kills to sci-fi movies like Dune. From the nostalgic environment, to the experience with food and friends the West Wind Drive-in is a fantastic place to go to.
When you enter the driveway you are met with beautiful light up arches. It very much simulates going back in time to the 1950s when drive-in movies were most popular for friend or dating outings. The wait time was not that bad on Halloween night, considering many were out trick-or-treating or doing other Halloween activities.
With ticket prices at $8.25 compared to $13.69 at AMC, it’s a great place to visit with friends. The experience is worth the money to take with your friends to bring you back in time and get relaxed and cozy in the trunk of a car with blankets, pillows, and food.
The food at the drive-in was like any food you would find a movie theater but cheaper. You have some of the best movie theater popcorn, freshly made hot foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, and warm pretzels, ice cold drinks, and other candy and sweets. By clicking this link you can see the deal on ice cold drinks for 1 cent the next time you go to see a movie at the drive-in theater: https://www.westwinddi.com/about-us/snack-bar. The website also orders a way to pay online before you get there so you can walk into the concession stand and pick up your food before the movie starts.
Overall, the drive-in movie theater is a great experience. With all the up to date movies and it being more comfortable than sitting in a movie theater seat it’s a great place to bring friends or even go on a date with your significant other.
Upcoming movies include: West Side Story, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Ghostbusters the Afterlife, Eternals, and Spider-Man No Way Home. West Wind is located at 4150 W Carey Ave, North Las Vegas, NV 89032.
