Coleman Lemke: A Diamond in the Rough
Coleman Lemke, a 6’8 Power Forward is one of the most unique players to hit the Faith Lutheran court. Since Coleman’s freshman year, he has grown a total of 8 inches and has also grown to be one of the best players to come out of Vegas in this generation.
Recently he has multiple offers such as Cal Lutheran, Gordon, and Sacramento State and had interests from Santa Clara and Lynn University. However he has committed to Eastern Washington University for Basketball. “I fell in love with the school,” he said, “the coaches are so welcoming and always kept in contact with me and I felt the loyalty from the coaches and the program.”
“It has always been a dream of mine to play Division 1 Basketball so it has allowed me to pursue my dream and continue my basketball career.”
Coleman Lemke is a force to be reckoned with. Coleman’s teammate, Josh Goynes talks about his best skill; “He’s a lights out shooter from anywhere on the court. He has a deadly jump shot. Whenever we’re in a tight spot on the court I know that he will rise to the occasion.”
“He’s an amazing player,” Coach Ernie Rama said, “He comes to practice ready to learn and be a team player, he’s always encouraging the team to be better on and off the court.”
